The ART THERAPY INSTITUTE (ATI) was established in Dallas, Texas, in 1996 to provide art therapy education to mental health professionals.  The mission of the ART THERAPY INSTITUTE was to:

provide continuing education services in art therapy that creatively addressed challenging problems in living,

bullet

educate mental health professionals to integrate art making with psychological theories, approaches, and applications, and

bullet

inform the public about the profession of art therapy.

The ATI closed in 2008. Anyone desiring information about art therapy education should contact the American Art Therapy Association at www.arttherapy.org.
